Minimum Wage Act of 1931 Passed By Democrats To Discriminate AGAINST Blacks

By Walter Williams
Investor's Business Daily
August 30, 2011
The first was the Davis-Bacon Act of 1931, which mandated minimum wages on federally financed or assisted construction projects.
During the bill's legislative debate, the racial objectives were clear.
Rep. John Cochran, D-Mo., said he had "received numerous complaints . . . about Southern contractors employing low-paid colored mechanics getting work and bringing the employees from the South."
Rep. Clayton Allgood, D-Ala., complained: "Reference has been made to a contractor from Alabama who went to New York with bootleg labor. . . . That contractor has cheap colored labor that he transports, and he puts them in cabins, and it is labor of that sort that is in competition with white labor throughout the country."
Rep. William Upshaw, D-Ga., spoke of the "superabundance or large aggregation of Negro labor."
American Federation of Labor President William Green said, "Colored labor is being sought to demoralize wage rates."
For decades after Davis-Bacon enactment, black workers on federally financed or assisted construction projects virtually disappeared.
Overall U.S. unemployment is 9.1%. For white adults, it's 8%, and for white teens, 23%. Black adult unemployment stands at 17%, and for black teens, it's 40%, more than 50% in some cities, for example, Washington.

Chapter 3 of "Race and Economics," my most recent book, starts out, "Some might find it puzzling that during times of gross racial discrimination, black unemployment was lower and blacks were more active in the labor force than they are today."

CERN Discovers, Then Attempts To Hide, "It's the sun, stupid."

Science: Experiments performed by a European nuclear research group indicate that the sun, not man, determines Earth's temperature. Somewhere, Al Gore just shuddered as an unseasonably cool breeze blows by.

The results from an experiment to mimic Earth's atmosphere by CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, tell researchers that the sun has a significant effect on our planet's temperature. Its magnetic field acts as a gateway for cosmic rays, which play a large role in cloud formation.

Consequently, when the sun's magnetic field allows cosmic rays to seed cloud cover, temperatures are cooler. When it restricts cloud formation by deflecting cosmic rays away from Earth, temperatures go up.

Or, as the London Telegraph's James Delingpole delicately put it:

"It's the sun, stupid."

This new finding of 63 scientists from 17 European and U.S. institutes from an experiment that's been ongoing since 2009 is, if we may paraphrase Vice President Joe Biden, a big deal. Which is exactly why the mainstream media, with so much invested in global warming hysteria, is letting last week's announcement from CERN pass like a brief summer shower, ignoring it.

Tea Party Express V: On the Road to Cheyenne, WY

Tea Party Express V: On the Road to Cheyenne, WY
Lloyd Marcus, Proud Unhyphenated American

Last year when Tea Party Express rolled into Elko, NV, Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Church had 15 children. Yesterday, the Church family showed up at our tea party rally with mom holding number 16. I really like these people folks. Their kids are well behaved, upbeat and bright.

I asked momma Church the secret to having such an obviously happy family. Mrs. Church said, “We teach our kids they are a blessing to each other”.

The Church family is the kind of salt of the earth good people I have met on all of my five Tea Party Express tours around America. They are not the angry white racist mobs reported in the Obama media.

We did a rally in Salt Lake City, UT and spent the night.

This morning at 5:45am, CNN sent a car to bring me to a studio for a 6:30am TV interview. Yesterday, a producer called me for a “pre-interview interview”. I wanted to take this opportunity of being on CNN to defend the tea party against the left's despicable false charges of racism.

The program producer said they would prefer to discuss my thoughts regarding the Republican presidential field; which candidates are not tea party enough for me. I sensed the producer was baiting me to beat up on Republicans and stay away from the topic of race.

On the TV program, the CNN host had an agenda to trash, minimize the effect and demoralize the Tea Party. I refused to allow her to get away with it.

To the CNN host's displeasure, I even defended the tea party against the false accusations of racism. Arrogantly, the left are relentless in their efforts to portray the tea party as racist and get extremely annoyed when we counter their accusations with the truth.

After my CNN interview, I was back on the Tea Party Express bus for a six hour ride to our next rally in Cheyenne, WY.

Our team includes Gold Star Mom, Debbie Lee. Her son, Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy Seal killed in Iraq. In honor of her decorated son, Debbie founded, AmericasMightyWarriors.org which benefits the families of fallen soldiers.

As we crossed great plains canopied by spacious skies, Debbie asked if I had ever seen a jac-ca-lope which looks like a cross between a jack rabbit and an antelope. I am a city boy originally from Baltimore. So, I was excited about seeing this animal indigenous to the plains.

I parked myself at the front of the bus along side our bus driver hoping to see a jac-ca-lope. After about an hour, my wife Mary joined me. I told her why I was filled with anticipation visually scanning the massive countryside.

Mary said, “There is no such thing as a jac-ca-lope”.

Then, I heard Debbie Lee laughing. I know the Bible speaks against revenge. But, I am planning my perfect opportunity to pay back Debbie Lee.

Vindication: Clarence Thomas' views ". . . are now being followed by a majority of the Court in case after case."

Will Clarence and Virginia Thomas succeed in killing Obama's health-care plan?
By Jeffrey Toobin
The New Yorker
August 29, 2011

It has been, in certain respects, a difficult year for Clarence Thomas. In January, he was compelled to amend several years of the financial-disclosure forms that Supreme Court Justices must file each year. The document requires the Justices to disclose the source of all income earned by their spouses, and Thomas had failed to note that his wife, Virginia, who is known as Ginni, worked as a representative for a Michigan college and at the Heritage Foundation. The following month, seventy-four members of Congress called on Thomas to recuse himself from any legal challenges to President Obama’s health-care reform, because his wife has been an outspoken opponent of the law. At around the same time, Court observers noted the fifth anniversary of the last time that Thomas had asked a question during an oral argument. The confluence of these events produced the kind of public criticism, and even mockery, that Thomas had largely managed to avoid since his tumultuous arrival on the Court, twenty years ago this fall.

These tempests obscure a larger truth about Thomas: that this year has also been, for him, a moment of triumph. In several of the most important areas of constitutional law, Thomas has emerged as an intellectual leader of the Supreme Court. Since the arrival of Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., in 2005, and Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr., in 2006, the Court has moved to the right when it comes to the free-speech rights of corporations, the rights of gun owners, and, potentially, the powers of the federal government; in each of these areas, the majority has followed where Thomas has been leading for a decade or more. Rarely has a Supreme Court Justice enjoyed such broad or significant vindication.

FOIA: The Obamas Vacation On Taxpayer's Backsides

Press Office
Judicial Watch
8/25/11

Judicial Watch, the organization that investigates and fights government corruption, announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit on August 19, 2011, against the United States Air Force to obtain records related to the June 21-27, 2011, trip taken by First Lady Michelle Obama, her family, and her staff to South Africa and Botswana (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Air Force (No. 11-1496)). Judicial Watch is seeking the documents to determine details about the trip and, in particular, a breakdown of the costs to taxpayers.

The Judicial Watch FOIA request filed on June 28, 2011, seeks:

  • Any and all records concerning mission taskings of First Lady Michelle Obama’s June 21-27,
2011 trip to South Africa and Botswana.
  • Any and all records of concerning transportation costs for Mrs. Obama’s June 21-27 trip to
    South Africa and Botswana.
  • Any and all passenger manifests (DD-2131) for Mrs. Obama’s June 21-27, 2011 trip to South
    Africa and Botswana.

According the U.S. Postal Service records, Judicial Watch’s FOIA request was received by the Air Force on July 6, 2011. A response to the request was due within 20 working days, or by August 3, 2011. As of August 19, 2011, the date of the complaint, the Air Force has failed to produce the records requested or respond with a date they will be forthcoming.

Republicans Will Try To Dramatically Change U.S. Funding Of The U.N.

August 29, 2011

House Republicans are planning to introduce today legislation that seeks to force major changes at the United Nations, using as leverage the U.S.’s 22 percent contribution to the world body’s operating budget.

The bill by Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the Republican chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, would require the UN to adopt a voluntary budget model in which countries selectively fund UN agencies rather than according to a set formula. It would end funding for Palestinian refugees, limit use of U.S. funds to only purposes outlined by Congress and stop contributions to peacekeeping operations until management changes are made.

Rick Perry Has What It Takes To Beat Obama

By David Catron
The American Spectator
August 30, 2011

Most of the GOP establishment is uncomfortable with Rick Perry. Few have openly attacked the Texas governor, as Karl Rove did when Perry criticized Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. However, the grumblings of former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan, a number of former Bush aides, and sundry other Republican luminaries have made it clear that they would prefer to see Mitt Romney as the GOP standard-bearer in 2012. Even inveterate RINO-basher Ann Coulter has said "Romney could actually beat Obama" and that Perry "won't live up to expectations." Coulter and the GOP establishment are wrong. Not only is Perry the favorite of rank-and-file Republicans, he is far better positioned than Romney to debate the President on the two issues that will inevitably dominate next year's campaign -- jobs and health care.

On jobs, Perry has a story to tell that Romney can't hope to match.

Next Week Republicans To Pursue Steady Repeal of Job-Destroying Regulations

Leadership: House Republicans are launching a pre-emptive strike against the president's forthcoming jobs plan. Instead of more Obamanomics, they offer real relief for private-sector job producers.

Appearing on Fox News on Monday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., gave one of the most succinct descriptions of the Obama administration's economic policy yet heard.

The White House, he said, has "demonstrated that it is not interested in focusing on private-sector growth."

Instead, it has conducted "a continued expansion of government, continued grabs at trying to tell people who want to go out and invest and create a profit that maybe they've ... done enough already, and that we need to take that money and put it elsewhere."

Clues Abound That Obama Is A Hack Writer

By Jack Cashill
AmericanThinker.com
August 29, 2011

On November 16, 1990, Barack Obama, then president of the Harvard Law Review, published a letter in the Harvard Law Record, an independent Harvard Law School newspaper, championing affirmative action.

Although a paragraph from this letter was excerpted in David Remnick's biography of Obama, The Bridge, I had not seen the letter in its entirety before this week.  Not surprisingly, it confirms everything I know about Barack Obama, the writer and thinker.

Obama was prompted to write by an earlier letter from a Mr. Jim Chen that criticized Harvard Law Review's affirmative action policies.  Specifically, Chen had argued that affirmative action stigmatized its presumed beneficiaries.

The response is classic Obama: patronizing, dishonest, syntactically muddled, and grammatically challenged.

Black African Kings Marketed Slaves To The Europeans

If only African kings had refused to sell their own people . . .

Urbanism on West Africa's Slave Coast
Archaeology sheds new light on cities in the era of the Atlantic slave trade
By J. Cameron Monroe
American Scientist
September-October 2011
For much of the 17th and early 18th centuries, successive kings of Allada sought to monopolize access to the goods, largely through royal- sponsored slave-raiding campaigns against weaker neighbors. Fearing competition from rivals, kings went so far as to require European merchants to trade directly with them at their palaces before trading with others in the kingdom. However, as demand for slaves in the New World picked up toward the end of the century, Allada found it difficult to maintain a trading monopoly, and secondary polities began to get in on the action. The rise of Hueda was a product of Allada’s declining authority. Proximity to coastal ports in an era of expanding demand for human cargo granted the Huedan elite access to vast quantities of Atlantic wealth, resulting in the emergence of a powerful palace-centric polity, which often worked against the interests of its political overlord, Allada.
As demand for humans as commodities was replaced by the demand for labor to produce commodities in Dahomey, the nature of political and economic organization transformed dramatically. Dahomey continued to wage military campaigns and take captives from neighboring polities, but those captives were put to work in large-scale agricultural production. In addition to increasing the domestic slave population, this economic transition expanded local markets and the relative wealth held by rural communities. The outcome was the overall ruralization of the Dahomean political economy.
UNTIL recently, sub-Saharan Africa was viewed as a place lacking a deeply rooted urban history. Because many African communities did not fit models of the city that scholars embraced in the early 20th century, the impressive scale of precolonial African towns was attributed to intrusive Middle Eastern or European influences in the second millennium A.D. Those models defined cities in terms of specific traits: large populations, monumental architecture and a literate class that fostered religion, the arts and government. African communities without these requisites were viewed as mere extensions of a rural countryside, part of a peasant way of life. African communities that had such traits were deemed beneficiaries of cultural stimulus from afar.

Despite the tenacious grip that this model held on our understanding of the sub-Saharan African past, archaeological evidence accumulated in recent decades is dispelling the myth of a cityless precolonial Africa. Research adopting a functional model of the city has forced us to see cities as more than a simple collection of traits. According to this model, urban centers are differentiated from, but closely integrated with, their rural communities. Cities are thus settlements that provide specialized services to a broader hinterland. The key issue, therefore, is not what a city is, but what a city does for rural communities within its sphere of influence.

This functional model has cast valuable light on the evolution of urban settlements across the continent. Research conducted in the 1980s and 1990s by Susan and Roderick McIntosh, of Rice University and Yale University respectively, has revealed that communities in the Inland Niger Delta region of Mali began to pass the urban threshold during the first millennium A.D., long before Near Eastern or European influence was a factor.

Economy and politics

Based in his capital of Agbome, Wegbaja and his successors established a highly centralized state with a deep-rooted kingship cult of sacrificial offerings. These included an emphasis on human sacrifices in large numbers, to the ancestors of the monarch. Human sacrifices were not only made in time of war, pestilence, calamity, and on the death of kings and chiefs, they were also made regularly in the Annual Customs, believed to supply deceased kings with a fresh group of servants.

Four thousand Whydahs, for example, were sacrificed when Dahomey conquered the Kingdom of Whydah in 1727. Five hundred were sacrificed for Adanzu II in 1791. Sacrifices for Gezo went on for days. Human sacrifice was usually by beheading, except in the case of the king's wives, who were buried alive. The king directly owned all land and collected taxes from all crops.

Economically, however, Wegbaja and his successors profited mainly from the slave trade and relations with slavers along the coast. As Dahomey's kings embarked on wars to expand their territory, they began using muskets and other firearms traded with French and Spanish slave traders for young men captured in battle, who fetched a very high price from the European slave merchants.

Under King Agadja (ruled 1708-1732), the kingdom conquered Allada, where the ruling family originated. They thus gained direct contact with European slave traders on the coast. Nevertheless, Agadja was unable to defeat the neighbouring kingdom of Oyo, Dahomey's chief rival in the slave trade. By 1730, he became a tributary of Oyo. This required that Dahomey pay heavy taxes, but it otherwise remained mostly independent.

Even as a tributary state, Dahomey continued to expand and flourish because of the slave trade, and later through the export of palm oil from large plantations that emerged. The king's ownership of all land gave him a virtual monopoly on all trade.

As one of West Africa's principal slave states, Dahomey became extremely unpopular with neighboring peoples. The kings of Dahomey sold their war captives into the Transatlantic slave trade, rather than kill them in the Annual Customs.

Historian Walter Rodney estimates that by c.1770, the King of Dahomey earned around £250,000 per year by selling captive Africans to the European slave traders. He spent most of the money on British-made firearms (of poor quality) and industrial-grade alcohol.

Female soldiers

The women reportedly behaved so courageously they became a permanent corps. In the beginning the soldiers were criminals pressed into service rather than being executed. Eventually, however, the corps became respected enough that King Ghezo ordered every family to send him their daughters, with the most fit being chosen as soldiers. Richard Francis Burton commented on the "masculine physique of the women, enabling them to compete with men in enduring toil, hardship and privations," and Alfred Ellis concurred that the female soldiers, "endured all the toil and performed all the hard labour."[3]

The women seem to have in fact considered themselves transformed into men, socially if not physically. At a parade in 1850, in which over 2,000 female soldiers participated, one of them began a speech by saying, "As the blacksmith takes an iron bar and by fire changes its fashion, so we have changed our nature. We are no longer women, we are men."[4] About two-thirds of the soldiers were unmarried, and Burton noted a "...corps of prostitutes kept for the use of the Amazon-soldieresses."[5]

A similar gender switch occurred among some men close to the royal court. Referred to as lagredis, the boys were chosen from among high ranking families and either castrated or given "potions" to feminize them.

Martin Luther Statue Reminiscent of Chairman Mao

"Martin Luther Mao" Dedication Postponed

Accuracy in Media
August 26, 2011

Human rights activist Ann Lau, a long-time critic of plans to have a Martin Luther King, Jr. monument for the U.S. built in Communist China by a communist sculptor, tells Accuracy in Media that “My view on the memorial has not changed since I wrote the article at National Review in September of 2007. It is unfortunate that the MLK Memorial Foundation had chosen financial expediency over what the Memorial should truly represent for generations to come.”

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Foundation had trouble raising $120 million for the monument, and $10 million of that came from American taxpayers. The federal land for the site was donated by Congress after President Clinton signed a law authorizing the project. There were rumors, never confirmed, that the Chinese regime donated funds to the memorial.

It is not exactly clear where the money went, but documents on the finances of the foundation show payments of hundreds of thousands of dollars over several years to the sculptor, Lei Yixin, known for making giant statues of Mao Tse-Tung.

New York Mayor Bloomberg Says "No" To Prayer At Ground Zero Memorial Ceremony

By Rev. Michael Bresciani

August 28, 2011

It is no secret that New York's Mayor Bloomberg has decided not to ask clergy of any religion to be part in the tenth anniversary ceremonies at Ground Zero.  A cross section of responses from both religious and secular sources shows that most people are shocked or at the least scratching their heads in wonderment at Bloomberg's decision.

Bloomberg said that government "shouldn't be in the business of picking" one minister or religion over another.  That being true, it raises two simple but important questions.  The first is, who asked him to pick?  Is Mr. Bloomberg the Mayor, or is he New York's pastor?

The second question should be whether he has considered asking the families of 9/11 victims if they want clergy to be present and to offer prayers. The ceremony is not about the government and it has never been.

However, I found David Gregory's attack on Michele Bachmann for comments she made regarding homosexuality to be extremely disturbing and offensive. Bachmann is a Christian and simply compassionately espoused the biblical point of view.

Just as Muslims live by the Quran, Christians strive to live by the Bible. Here are a few Bible quotes about homosexuality.

Obama's Popularity in Martha's Vineyard Showing Signs of Dissent As Bad Economy Hurts The Island

VINEYARD HAVEN - When President Obama took his first trip to Martha’s Vineyard after taking office, the excitement among locals here was palpable, from the signs of support strung across shop windows and front porches to a full-page newspaper ad taken out by 125 Vineyard grandmothers in support of his health care plan.

This week, with the jobless rate stuck above 9 percent and the president’s nationwide approval rating at its lowest level, the Vineyard’s broad allegiance shows cracks, leaving some islanders with a more textured, even tormented feeling about the president.

Texas' Job Creation Claims Proven Correct By Anti-Perry Mathematician

The following article was written by someone who doesn't like Gov. Rick Perry. He is also a mathematician, so the author attempted to mathematically disprove Perry's claims about job growth in Texas. However, we have to give the author credit for discovering, and admitting, that his initial premises were wrong. The author illustrates his findings in numerous graphs, which will make every proud Texan smile.

By PoliticalMathBlog.com
August 16, 2011

Full disclosure: I don't like Rick Perry for our next president. I have my reasons that aren't worth going into here. However, when I was watching the GOP debate and pro-Perry people started bringing up Rick Perry's job numbers as a cudgel against other candidates, I looked into the BLS data on Texas jobs. Having familiarized myself with the data, I started noticing claims on the Texas jobs data that started popping up that directly contradicted what I was seeing in the data. So I wanted to clear up a couple of these common misconceptions.
[snip]
My point is to show that most of the "excuses" you will hear about Texas' job statistics are based in nothing more than a hope that Rick Perry had nothing to do with them and not on a sound understanding of the data.

My advice to anti-Perry advocates is this: Give up talking about Texas jobs. Texas is an incredible outlier among the states when it comes to jobs. Not only are they creating them, they're creating ones with higher wages.

One can argue that Perry had very little to do with the job situation in Texas, but such a person should be probably prepare themselves for the consequences of that line of reasoning. If Rick Perry had nothing to do with creating jobs in Texas, than why does Obama have something to do with creating jobs anywhere? And why would someone advocate any sort of "job creating" policies if policies don't seem to matter when it comes to the decade long governor of Texas? In short, it seems to me that this line of reasoning, in addition to sounding desperate and partisan, hogties its adherents into a position where they are simultaneously saying that government doesn't create jobs while arguing for a set of policies where government will create jobs.

"If Rick Perry is a dope, he’s the kind of dope we need"

By Roger L. Simon
PajamasMedia.com

Despite being the longest serving governor of one of our most populous states, a state currently generating more jobs than the rest of the country combined (or close), Rick Perry is supposed to be a dummy. At least, that’s what some of the lefty blogs and pundits would have us believe — you know, brainy types like Ed Schultz.

I am a graduate of two so-called elite Ivy League universities and I never noticed this problem when I met Perry. But never mind. Maybe an intellectually-challenged reputation is good to have from a stealth point of view. Remember Tom Sawyer and that fence?

Unfortunately, however, the jig is up. As of the last few days “Rick Perry and His Eggheads: Inside the Brainiest Political Operation in America” has been making the rapid rounds on Kindle (#2 in “politics and current events”). This download is actually a longish chapter excerpted from a work-in-progress by Sasha Issenberg — “The Victory Lab” — about new, scientifically-based campaign techniques said to be transforming the American electoral process.

The chief architect of Perry’s strategies — and central figure in the chapter — is Dave Carney, a hulking three hundred pound, six foot four political pro from New Hampshire who once worked for George H. W. Bush. Said to be camera shy, if Perry wins, or even if he is nominated, Carney is likely to become as much of a household political name as Karl Rove or David Axelrod.

Indeed, if I were Axelrod, I would have been up last night poring over “Rick Perry and His Eggheads.” It’s filled with radical ideas about campaigning.

"Republican Wisconsin will finish the two-year budget with a $300 million surplus."

By Karin McQuillan

Democrats say that government can create jobs through borrowing, printing money and spending.   They warn that trimming bureaucrats from payrolls will be an economic disaster.  Republicans argue that the bigger the government is, the smaller the private sector.  The Tea Party prescription: shrink government, lower taxes, decrease regulation, and the economy will rebound through private enterprise.

"Facts are hard to argue with," Governor Walker of Wisconsin declared in a Heritage interview earlier this month.  In the three years before his election, the Democratic State legislature and Democratic governor presided over the loss of 150,000 jobs.  In Walker's first six months in office, Wisconsin added a net of 39,000 jobs, including 14,000 in manufacturing. The remainder were in agriculture, tourism, biotech and medical technology.

In June, Walker earned boasting rights that half of the new jobs in the entire country -- a shocking and paltry 19,000 -- were created in his state.  In the same month, Democrat Illinois next door lost 7,000 jobs.  (For more on Illinois jobs, see this - ed.)

Constitutionalists Challenge Marco Rubio's Natural-Born Citizenship Status, Even Though They Admire Him

By Joe Kovacs

August 24, 2011

MIAMI, Fla. – Some national news media are declaring that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is a natural-born citizen and thus eligible for the presidency or vice presidency, even though Rubio's constitutional eligibility remains unclear and the popular Florida Republican has himself downplayed any interest in running on a White House ticket.

In a Daily Caller piece today titled "Coming soon: Rubio 'birthers,'" journalist Matt Lewis warns, "There is already a movement afoot (led by some on the fringe) to disqualify him from serving as president (which would presumably disqualify him from serving as vice president). That's right – some are arguing that Rubio is not eligible because he is not a 'natural-born citizen.'"

Lloyd Marcus Reporting Daily from Tea Party Express V

Lloyd Marcus Reporting Daily from Tea Party Express V
By Lloyd Marcus, Proud Unhyphenated American

Tea Party Express V national bus tour begins this Saturday in Napa, CA. As I pack my bags and organize my performance music in preparation to embark on my fifth national Tea Party Express tour, I am a bit frustrated by those still clueless about the Tea Party movement; who we are and our propose.

Please excuse my frankness. Despite all the Tea Party has done to pull our country back from diving over the cliff to it's death into liberal socialistic hell, incredibly, there are still “Republicans” who think we are “fringe loonies”. If God had not sent the Tea Party, America as we know it would be over!

Then, we have the racist Congressional Black Caucus. Rather than abandoning their racial bias to make an honest assessment of President Obama's job performance and his failed economic policies, they blame epidemic high black unemployment on the Tea Party. Their accusation is so despicable and absurd, it is unworthy of a response.

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL), a member of the Congressional Black Caucus said, “Let us all remember who the real enemy is,” she added. “The real enemy is the Tea Party. The Tea Party holds the Congress hostage. They have one goal in mind, and that’s to make President Obama a one-term president.”

Another member of the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), said, “The tea party can go to hell.”

Rep. Wilson, you did get one point 100% correct. It is and should be the goal of every patriot who loves, freedom, liberty and America to “make President Obama a one-term president.” I pray, “Dear Lord, pleeeeease make it so.”

Another member of the tag team assaulting and slandering the tea party is the liberal media. I have attended over 200 tea parties nationwide including Alaska. On numerous occasions the media has asked, basically, “Why are you, a black man, hanging with these racist white folks?”

My response is always the same, “These folks are not opposing Obama's skin color. Several even voted for him. They are simply saying no to his socialistic agenda.”

Unfortunately, I have witnessed liberal media completely ignoring the mood and tone of a tea party rally to fit their preconceived report of the event.

Case in point. On a beautiful sunny day at a tea party rally in Michigan, I sang “God Bless the USA” for the finale of my performance. The response of the thousand or more in the audience was tremendous; a celebration of love for America. Afterwards, I could hardly make my way through the crowd because of so many patriots wanting to shake my hand and take pictures.

Also, at that rally was a white woman in a wheelchair who was terminally ill. Her daughter told one of our staff, “My mom said all she wanted to do before dying is to meet Lloyd Marcus.”

Wow, I can not begin to tell you how much that humbles me.

Amidst the overwhelmingly loving, happy and upbeat atmosphere, a stoned faced reporter approached me. She asked me if I felt comfortable at this racist hate-filled tea party. I wanted to say, “Are you nuts?” Despite holding my tongue and trying to politely convince the stern reporter otherwise, she became visibly angry at me, abruptly turned and walked away.

Brother and sister patriots, I am so looking forward to seeing and fellowshipping with you; hanging with my true “homies”; folks who share my love for America.

My plan is to give you daily updates from the road; highlights of the rallies, the local food favorites I sample (my mouth still waters thinking about the awesome bar-b-que spare-ribs a woman greeted our bus with in Memphis; the best I've ever eaten. Sorry mom.) and the extraordinary patriots I meet on every tour.

Please check out our tour schedule. I would love to include you in my “Million Hand Shake March” across America.

And with that, I leave you with a song, “On the road again! I just can't wait to get on the road again. I'm looking forward to seein' all my patriot friends. I can't wait to get on the road again.”

The Constitution and a Cornfield

The Constitution and A Cornfield

Rob Cunningham

August 23, 2011

In 1789, the world witnessed the ratification of America’s Constitution, thus

ushering in the birth of a nation envisioned and framed by centuries of human

wisdom, political insights, thousands of failed governmental experiments, and

steeped in principles almost exclusively based on Judeo-Christian teachings.

In the 222 years since our Constitution was ratified, there is no doubt that

our country’s birth has proven to be the most successful experiment in human

history.

No other nation has ever produced a greater amount of positive global change,

international generosity, economic prosperity, scientific advancements, or a

stronger defense of personal liberties and religious freedoms. None has come

close.

It would be impossible to overstate the global human disaster certain to follow

in the aftermath of America’s demise. As we learned in basic science, nature

abhors a vacuum, and vacuums are immediately filled with a surrounding

substance. Given the heightened levels of virulent, anti-American, secular-

progressive and global-government thinking so pervasive in today’s “ruling

class” culture, this destructive world view would most likely be the “surrounding

substance” to fill the space previously occupied by America’s moral

leadership. As surely as night follows day, America’s collapse would usher in

global economic chaos and a worldwide cultural disaster.

America, as a nation, stands at death’s door. Only radical, bold, and morally

courageous leadership can prevent our country’s ultimate demise. We must

concur with the wisdom of French philosopher, Alexis De Toquevuille, when

he observed, “America is great because America is good.” Yes, America may

slip and lose its way from time to time, but never has our core national spirit

required a “fundamental transformation” of the type envisioned by the Obama

Administration.

We must choose bold restoration or suffer a certain, immediate demise. Precious

little time remains to make this fateful decision. Often, when nations or individuals

stumble, they need most what they desire least. Thankfully for America, many

millions of independent voters, Tea Party patriots, common sense conservatives,

and sovereign citizens are fully aware of the measures needed to restore our fallen

country. We stand ready, eager, and willing to do the hard work necessary to elect

true leaders, and to make the many sacrifices required to save our beloved nation

for future generations.

Normally, it is only through the lens of time that one can appreciate events of

true historical importance. It is extremely rare to be alive during a significant

inflection point in human history, especially one that future generations may

reflect upon and study for possibly thousands of years into the future. We may

have an opportunity to witness - and to participate in - one of those pivotal

inflection points.

On Saturday, September 3rd, in Indianola, Iowa, I believe that a significant and

historically fateful event will occur in this small town near Des Moines. Governor

Sarah Palin will likely deliver a speech in which the 2012 election battle lines will

be clearly drawn for every friend and foe to hear.

No other presidential candidate has offered, or is likely to offer, such clear,

specific, and bold measures to the American people as I expect Sarah Palin

will offer on this day. Her speech will likely prove to be refreshing, inspiring,

invigorating and so historic in nature, it may be impossible to calculate its

significance until many years have passed.
The epic struggle for America’s very

survival will be engaged on this day, and our world will never be the same.

With every ounce of passion and personal conviction in my soul, I implore each

and every person that feels called to volunteer in defense of our beloved nation,

to make your reservations for Indianola, Iowa, today. You have been officially

notified of the rare, once in a lifetime, historical significance of this Labor Day

weekend event. Please do not write to me or complain to any Organize4Palin

group with, “Someone should have told me!” or “Why didn’t you really bang the

table harder to convince me to attend?”

If you can’t make the journey to Iowa, please note that CSPAN will be covering

this event from beginning to end, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm EST. Mark your

calendars, set your DVRs, host a viewing party and tell your friends, family,

neighbors and co-workers. If you happen to live in Iowa, there should be no

reason, no excuse, no football game, party or precious few priorities that trump

the significance of attending this historic event in your own backyard.

Obama's Free Food Dependency Trap

By John T. Bennett

The Obama administration is busy expanding the exact type of vicious, ungrateful underclass which recently exploded in London.  An administration program will expand free school meal coverage to millions of young people who are not even supposed to be eligible.

A stated goal of the program is to eliminate the stigma of getting a free lunch.  But that stigma is one of the only things separating dignified free people from wretched government dependants.  There is a lot of gray in between, but the Obama program would take students from a young age and nudge them in the wrong direction.

Here's how the program works: if 40% of students at a school qualify for public assistance, then every student in the school will get free food.  That's free breakfast, lunch, and a snack.  If that sounds like arbitrary welfare waste, it is.  Sixty percent of the student body could be above the poverty line, ineligible for welfare, or even upper-class -- it doesn't matter.  Every student magically becomes entitled.

The Democrats' "heroin dealer" model of government

Like you, I've been horrified by the eruptions of mob violence around the globe this summer. But having spent the last two years researching and writing a book about mobs, I'm also grateful to the ruffians for taking to the streets so soon after my book was released.

Thanks, you dirty animals. I knew you wouldn't let me down.

When I decided to write about mobs, it was a relatively peaceful period. But as long as there is evil in the world, mobs will never be finally defeated. And as long as there are liberals, there will be some people stoking the mobs.

It was only a matter of time, although even I didn't expect it quite this soon.

==========

Ed.  If rioting mobs become an increasing problem, we must be sure to credit the people who are trying to turn one community against another.  For example:
