Republicans Did It Again

Just as many political analysts predicted, the Republicans caved in to the unconstitutional actions of Obama – so what is the use of the GOP having congressional majority? One thing, they kept Speaker of the House John Boehner, who has consistently been cooperative. It is like Nancy Pelosi never left, minus the stupid commentary. Boehner is so tight knit with Democrats that he is going to be protected against a GOP coup.

...Republicans are even gearing up to SAVE OBAMACARE if the Supreme Court guts the subsidies. Conservatives complain endlessly, with good reason, that Barack Obama is acting like a dictator. What’s left unsaid is that he’s only able to do it because Republicans in the House and Senate are standing by impotently and allowing him to do whatever he wants. Despite winning two huge victories in 2010 and 2014 by promising to fight against Obama, the GOP has shown nothing but rank cowardice in every confrontation with him. It’s hard to understand how men like John McCain, who showed such great courage in war, can be so cowardly when they’re asked to stand up for America against the Democrats. What kind of Republicans would rather fight their own supporters and constituents than stand up to Barack Obama? … Barack Obama could declare that he is going to tear down the Lincoln Memorial to make room for a giant statue of himself and Republicans would end up funding it because they’re so petrified the media would blame them for the shutdown that would ensue if they didn’t go along to get along.

The unconstitutional and unethical amnesty is moving forward with the help of those who were elected on the principle that they would do better than they did when last they held majority. But how can you trust a political entity that threw the Tea Party under the bus after 2012. The GOP elite blamed the loss of their poster boy Romney's election on the 'radical' Tea Party Patriots. Why did they not just come right out and say that say that constitutionalists are radical. There is nothing about that political movement that is radical or racial, but as my previous article shows – there certainly is favoritism coming from the executive branch.
...when Obama refused to give in, the GOP Leadership barely put up a fight before they caved in and gave him exactly what he wanted. Mitch McConnell worked with Harry Reid and John Boehner worked with Nancy Pelosi to fund millions of work permits and tax rebates for illegal aliens. They also effectively signed off on 5 million illegal aliens getting Social Security cards and drivers’ licenses that they could very possibly use to VOTE in our elections! The GOP Leadership called it illegal, they called it unconstitutional, they claimed to oppose it – yet they fought to fund it!

Since December, the outcome has been baked in the cake. It was abundantly clear to anyone watching that leadership in both houses intended to capitulate on the fight against amnesty. It was a strategy doomed to failure. It’s an old adage in Washington: Never take a hostage you’re not prepared to shoot. There was no chance, zero, that Republicans were going to fail to fund the Department of Homeland Security because Republicans care deeply about homeland security. If we had been serious about this fight, and we should have been, the continuing resolution [under which DHS funding expired in February 2015] should have focused on the EPA, or the IRS or the Department of Labor. Now, those are departments which a majority would be prepared to allow funding to temporarily expire in order to use as leverage.
Hawkins:
All members of the GOP leadership along with every Republican who voted for a clean DHS bill deserve to be publicly horsewhipped for what they did. Sadly, we can’t get away with horsewhipping public officials any more, no matter how much they may deserve it, but we don’t have to vote for them. We don’t have to fund their campaigns. In fact, we can primary them, we can protest their donor meetings, boo them in public, leak information that hurts them to the press and undermine them at every opportunity. We can demand that our representatives vote against Boehner and McConnell if they want our support. We can do everything we can within the law to make life rough for them.
They lie to us, they think we’re stupid, they trash groups who represent us, they hold us in complete contempt and then they mock us by saying, “Ha, where else are they going to go?”
The Obama drive to 'transform' America is a runaway freight train and the GOP have provided the fuel to keep its momentum. Tea Party Patriots [constitutionalists} have a right to be angry. Americans are tired of having to choose the 'lesser evil' at election time.
Governor Scott Walker is doing well in his march towards the primary election of 2016, but he needs to quit touting, evoking the name “Republican” because the name no longer matches the actions of the members of that political club. Ted Cruz stands out because he is not afraid to stand up against members of his political party that sell out to totalitarianism and oligarchy.
Cause and effect, folks. Freedom of choice is part of what was part of what Jefferson drafted into the Declaration of Independence when he referred to the “Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them”. It stems from the story in the Book of Genesis, when the first humans were given a choice. Freedom of choice requires the acceptance of consequences of what choice is individually made. When our leadership, who is given the task to operate OUR government under the articles and amendments of the Constitution, and make choices that is against those fundamental principles and laws of our nation – the consequences are burdened by all. When elected officials pay no attention to ethics and the rule of law, the check-and-balance system cannot work if those elected do not stand and ensure it is so.
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Have those words lost its meaning and importance?
The time for playing nice with the GOP’s incompetent, ineffective, disloyal leadership in Congress is at an end. The only way the country has a bright future is if the current Republican Party Leadership in Congress has no future in politics.
We need more independent politicians, constitutionalists, or a viable third political party that can sweep the overpaid politicians in Washington, the inept and weak being weeded out.
The Founders did not provide limitations upon our government as a whim, it was done for a reason. However, they were relying upon We the People to retain the character required to ensure those principles remain. Independence Day has less meaning in the last decade. Its name should be changed to “Dependence” Day, because that is what the turn of events has led us to. The longer We the People and their chosen politicians wait, the more difficult the reformation revolution will become; and at some point, it will become fruitless.
Apparently, that point has been reached by the political party that no longer practices what it preaches – and promises.
Americans should never be obligated to any political party, especially when that party breaks its promises to its constituents and joins the progressive march towards the nullification of constitutional law.
